I don't know if my son is going to make it. He has spina bifida at the bottom of his spine and one of his legs is bent inwards but more importantly they said there wasn't enough normal brain tissue. The scan report says "ventriculomegaly both sides, mild (12-13 mm)". They don't know if it means he's going to be completely mentally "gone" or if it's OK... I have to go for another specialist scan. Me and OH have just been crying all afternoon...just wanted our little boy to be OK.

Praying for you sweetie. Never give up hope :hugs2:

Oh no I'm so sorry for you. There is always hope, let's hope the specialist scan can give you some clearer answers. I know sometimes they say these things and people go on to have healthy babies or it isn't as bad as what they originally thought. Really hoping that's the case for you. I can only imagine how devastating it is to get news like that though. :-(

((((hugs)))) I am so sorry. I hope the specialist can give you more information, sometimes the initial scan is not entirely correct. Prayers are going up for your sweet baby and your family.

I'm so sorry you have had this news. Thinking of you.

I'm so sorry. I really hope everything turns out well :hugs: x

I am so sorry to hear. Hopefully the specialist scan will bring good news.

Oh no :( I've got my fingers crossed for you that everything turns out okay x

I am so sorry. I hope the follow up scan shows it's a much better prognosis than they first thought xx

Praying for you that all is well and that the specialist scan will bring all the hope and good news you all deserve. XOXOXO

So sorry :( I really hope your next scan brings you good news xx
