Thank you...just want it to be monday so we can find out more. :( Will update when I have more information.

We've had a few hours to come to terms with things and a good sleep always helps (imo) and we've had both now.

Things do not add up. The lady doing the scan said that he is probably paralyzed from waist down - but on previous scans, we've seen him actively extend his legs.

She also said he has a club foot, right. However on previous scans, this was not mentioned and everything 'looked' normal.

So I am unsure about the whole thing. She mentioned fluid on the brain but this is normal with spinal bifida as far as I know / the NHS website says. :(

Well hopefully this means that she was wrong about those points and the specialist can shed some further light for you. In my opinion I think she was wrong for mentioning those things as it should come from the specialist as I'm sure they know more about it all and could give you more accurate information. I'm so sorry your going through this, really hoping Monday comes quickly for you and you get some positive news.

I am so very sorry. I do hope that seeing the specialist will shed more positive light on things. Take care x

I'm sorry, thinking of you, your husband and your little boy!xx

Everything can be ok... Get a 2nd opinion and see what the specialist says. They can be wrong.

If it is any consolation at all, my son was born with a right club foot and he is fully corrected now. It has caused zero problems for him. It is typically not found in early scans due to it happening in the 2nd trimester.

I'd definitely get the specialist opinion! I hope for the best for you guys xxxx

Hope he is okay, I send big hugs, stay strong, I'm thinking of you both and your little boy :hugs: xx

I'm so sorry to hear this but please do keep us updated once you've seen the specialist. What a strange thing to be told two different things. How confusing! I'm hoping everything's for the best and that she was wrong to begin with.

I'll also agree with moter98 that clubfeet are absolutely nothing these days either. My brother was born with a clubfoot, it was treated as a baby and now everything's perfectly fine. His son was born with two clubfeet which were also corrected and, apart from now having two flat feet, everything's normal now.
