When your baby started rolling over/crawling/walking did they start waking in the night again? Marlie's just started walking:happydance: (only a few steps), but since she has she's started waking at night too. :dohh: She wakes up screaming and when I run into her room to check on her, she's standing up and facing towards the wall and looks so scared. Last night she woke up 3 times!!! :hissy: She hasn't woken in the night since 6 months old.

Do you think the walking is the cause and how long until the excitement passes and she sleeps again? I'm at the end of my rope with it all!

I know that my son sleep/walks or crawls and it scares him resulting in him waking up screaming .

What we've been doing now is right before bed DH makes our son chase him around the house for like 10 min .. it takes out all the extra energy hes got built up it has helped allot

That's a good idea, but Marlie might get too wired before bed. It's worth a shot though. Thanks! I'll try it tonight.

It's very common for them to start waking again, or not napping as well when they have just learned something new, I'd just give her a week or 2 and stick to your old routine she'll probaby start sleeping through again soon

My son has just learnt to roll over and he started waking in the night lots. I go to him and find hes on his front with his head up crying only his eyes are closed because he is half asleep and doesnt realise he needs to put his head down to go back to sleep so i have to roll him back over. Nightmare!!! I hope it doesnt last too long..
