My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 7 months now. We are 34 years old so trying to quickly get pregnant but it doesn't seem to be working. DH went for a sperm analysis and received these results:
Motility 1st Hour = 60% (Lab's reference range = 70-90%)
Motility 3rd Hour = 40% (Lab's reference range = 60-70%)
Motility 6th Hour = 20% (Lab's reference range = 50-60%)
Total Count = 24 (Lab's reference range = 60-120)
When comparing with others on the forum, most people do not have multiple motility. Also, is it normal for the 6th hour to be so low? 1st hour looks almost normal but it drops signficantly at the 6th hour.
Also, total count was 24 and when comparing with others, this seems to be borderline low. (I've seen most people said 20 was the minimum) Why would the lab range be so high at 60-120?
Is the lab's reference range not the normal? Should we worry with these numbers? We have a referral pending for the urologist but that will take a few weeks. Just very concerned!
