I'm almost 5 weeks pp and checked myself for ab separation. I have it around my belly button.

Is it possible the gap will still close? Should I wait until my 6 week check to start the gentle exercises to try to close the gap? (I had a section if that matters).
 
I think you need to wait till the section is completely healed before starting exercise. I have it too btw but am too lazy to do the exercises though I bought the DVD :haha:. My parting was more than 5 fingers wide by my belly button and is now about 3, maybe less. So it does get better and depends on how wide your parting is. If it is only a little, it may well heal itself. Good luck!
 
Mines about 2.5 finger width and my fingers can sink in the gap.

So your gap improved just its time?

I'll also ask my ob next week.
 
It definitely improved yes but it took time and I think really I should do exercises for it cause in the evening I look 5 month preggo :haha:
