Well, after behaving beautifully at the hospital yesterday. showing us a lovely heartbeat, babs refused to be ncie for the ultrasound lady this morning!

Still got good heartbeat and baby measures perfectly for dates so all good there, and liqour volume is good (hooray!), but was a bit surprised he/she wasn't moving more? At our 12 wk scan the little star was bouncing all over the place, this time he/she just sat there are looked out at us... was a bit concerned at the lack of movement but the scanners would've said if something was worrying wouldn't they, especially as it was a foetal wellbeing scan? Don't seem to stop worrying about babs this week - hoping he/she gives me a kick later for reassurance!

awww Hon I'm sure they would have mentioned if it was a concern to them :hugs:

I've had 4 scans so far, 12week nhs one, 16 week early gender private one, 20 week nhs one and 22 weeks 4d private one.
First 3 the sonographers all commented on how beautifully behaved she was and moving about for them..Most important scan where I wanted movement for the dvd and she refuses to budge! Well, until I was sat in the waiting room afterwards :haha:

I have had 7 scans so far (they do lots of them in Japan), and the only time I have seen any movement other than the heartbeat was at my 16 week scan when the doctor pressed a bit with the ultrasound wand thingy to see if there would be some reaction and the baby gave a bit of a kick. No movement at the 20 week scan on Saturday, but everything was otherwise normal and the doctor doesn't seem concerned at all.

I can certainly feel a lot of movement going on these days, so either bubs is a bit shy during ultrasounds or just picks those times to have a good sleep! Would be nice to see some movement but as long as everything else is normal I don't think there's anything to worry about. You're lucky you saw your baby moving at the 12 week scan, I'm envious!

Don't worry, I had to have my 20 week scan in 2 parts as my LO planted herself and refused to move despite an hour of getting up and walking around, cold drinks and trips to the toilet

It wasn't a concern. All the sonographer had to say about it was 'naughty baby'. lol.

I went back 4 days later and they finished taking the measurements they needed and everything was fine x

Yep! At our 20 wk scan, baby seemed to be fast asleep, and the sonographer got me to cough and then sit up and down to try and get her to move, but no joy! However, as soon as we left the clinic she went really kicky and active for about 2 hours!!!

I had my first scan yesterday. LO wiggled for the 1st min and then rested his/her head in the tiny little hands and never moved again. They had me up and walking around, rolling from side to side and the LO never moved a bit. They didn't seem worried about it at the hospital, she just said "the babies are the ones in charge around here" lol

Thanks girls, that has really helped put my mind at ease! Hve jsut been sitting in a 3 hr teaching session that I was supervising.... *think* he or she decided to do the can-can at one point (!), but its so faint that I'm never sure if I'm not just imagining things

Funnily enough, I always notice the same sensations if I rest my hand on my tummy around where the uterus will be, that usually seems to get some sort of reaction which just makes me love this little one all the more

Yep!! Mine was hiding behind my belly button apparently! Was hardly moving- sono got me to move my ody around etc and it would slightly move but not too much.....but have been feelig it kick etc so not toooo worried!!!

xxx

My last 3 scans bubs has been the same but ive refused to go back so just ask if i can 'go have words with him' :haha:, i go do a pee, do some starjumps, jiggle about and dance in the loo for 5 mintues and when i go back he always co-opertes

my lil girl wouldnt move, she was comfty and made her point clear, sonographer tried to wiggle her around abit but that didnt work she was to happy....bit like her mammy to be honest (wont move if she too comfty lol) x x

In both my scans LO would not budge. My belly was prodded so many times, but no baby was not budging for no one. Thankfully though we got all the measurements needed and both times each sonographer mentioned its absolutely normal for them to be so stubborn. For my 20 week scan I had to actually go outside walk about and eat because he would not move his head up from my pubic bone and that was the last measurement she needed. So I went out for a walk in cold weather, ate plenty of sweets. Tried to move about a lot when walking but yet he only moved his head ever so slightly. To the untrained eye it would look as if he hadn't moved at all. Then he gave a lil yawn lol. I have one more scan coming up (growth scan due to my weight) and I really hope he moves around a lot more. However I get kicked and punched by him daily so am not worried about the lack of movement during scans. It could be his sleeping time at that time as both were done in the early morning!

I had this at my 13 week scan for the NT testing. LO didn't budge. I had to go walk around outside also and drink water. When we came back, baby had moved slightly, just enough for them to get the measurement they needed. I was worried about the movement too, but it seems it is very common. Must have been nap time!

I suspect baby was sleeping :) My baby was also a booger and stubbornly stayed curled up next to the placenta facing with it's back towards my belly. We had quite a time getting the measurements we needed, but the tech eventually got them.

At our 20week scan her head was right down in my pelvis so could.nt get measurements at first we tried everything to make her move but she was being camera shy! we ended up having 9free photos because the lady wasn't happy with them! x
