Kacie's nearly 11 weeks old now. She was on the size one teats up until yesterday, she would take 30-45 minutes to finish a bottle and fall asleep half way through, so I thought it was time to go upto the next teats. She was fine with them yesterday but today it's a whole different story. I wind her half way through and she brings up a burp, then when it gets to the end she doesn't bring up anymore wind and is really distressed, crying, kicking her legs etc. Then like an hour later she's sick, not a little bit, but not alot either. She's on infacol, would that be anything to do with it? (She's been using it for a few weeks)

Hiya sweets, Hope you are ok!

Bobby is still on size 1 teats but is still finishing bottles in about 10 mins so not going to change yet. Sounds like Kacie was ready for a change! No real advice but just wanted to say I stopped Bobby's infacol last week as he kept being sick and it has worked. He also brings his wind up fine without it now.

I'd have said that, given the signs, it was time to move her up a teat size ... have you tried burping at the "thirds" instead of "halfway"? That's what we do with Andrew, three burps per feed.

How long is she crying for - it could be if she is working herself into a state that is why she is being sick. Does she maybe need more milk and that is why she is crying, is it a painful cry or an annoyed one? I wish they could talk to us :)

I've recently moved my LO up to a bigger teat, she's always taken about 20-25 minutes to get through a bottle, sometimes if she decides to take it in two or three stages it can take up to an hour. The only difficulty I am finding is that so much is running out of her mouth I have to change her after her feed as she has soaked her clothes right through the bib lol! But I do think she is happier on the bigger teats.

I've tried burping her more often but she just doesn't have any of it! I don't think she works herself up into a state so much that it makes her sick, she settles down again and is sick alot later. She isn't fully finishing a bottle at the min and she's on 6oz's, so I dont think it's that. It's more of annoyed cry I think, kinda hard to tell lol. So annoying not knowing whats wrong, going to try her without the infacol today and see what happens
