Did you have a wound drain after c-section?

Well, just to update you all: I had my second section and it went much more smoothly! I asked the surgeon did she put in a wound drain as soon as she'd finished and she looked at me like I was whacky and said "No, why? did you have one before?" so happy!! x

With my 2 first c-sections I didn't have one.
With my 3th pregnancy I switched hospitals (we moved) and with/after the c-section I had a wound drain, and hated it. It hurt me more than the c-section.
I'll ask my gyn this time if this will happen again and ask why.

I had a drain in but I suffered with severe pre-eclampsia and HELLP syndrome. I was stapled together rather then stitches too. I was told they needed to drain th excess blood off from the hellp and any other fluid that would build up because of the illness.

I agree it was a horrid pain and I never want to feel it again!
