I'm 13 weeks pregnant with baby number 2. My son was breastfed for 19 months with no problems at all and I am hoping to get lucky again this time.

I've noticed recently that one of my nipples is really sore to touch and I just can't imagine being able to feed with it - it's my big boob too :dohh: :haha:

I was just wondering if this is a normal pregnancy niggle. Did anyone else have sore nipples during pregnancy that went away after the birth and were you able to comfortably breastfeed?

I'd appreciate any advice or experience - I don't remember them being sore before Xander was born

Mine really hurt. If my son sits on my lap and leans on them i squeal.

Totally normal

Mine didn't hurt at all the first time round but are quite painful this second pregnancy. They have calmed down a bit though from how painful they were initially.

Yes I had this! They were so sore and I couldnt figure out what was going on until I found out i was pregnant! not sure how long it last as I stopped breastfeeding during first trimester

My nipples got very sore and tender on and off thru out pregnancy and I have had no problems with sore nipples (bar the first 2 days when he was nursing near constantly to get my milk going and they cracked and one got a blood blister) whilst breast feeding.

Mine are extremely sore this pregnancy, they weren't at all in my last 2 (and I breastfed both kids). I have been worrying about this too, but I assume it's pregnancy hormones doing it and that once baby arrives they'll be better.

Thanks very much ladies!

It's still sore now but hopefully when baby arrives it'll feel normal again :)
