Yes definitely. My first pregnancy I saw the midwife at 8 weeks, 16 weeks, 24 weeks, 28 weeks, 32 weeks, 34 weeks, 36 weeks and then every week up til the birth. I'd give her a ring hun and check whens shes due to see you next xx
Not directly after, which is what I think you're asking. Your next scheduled appointment is all you get, no special trips unless they find something wrong in the ultrasound. My lovely OB told me that unless there's something wrong, she won't go over the scan whatsoever with me. I think most peoples' midwives and OBs are more involved than that though lol.
No you don't see your midwife at your 20 week scan in the hospital. But after your scan you will need to book your 24 week appointment with them. They will look at you scan notes and do your general check up. Measure your bump, listen to the heartbeat etc... You can ask questions, discuss further appointments. I have one at 28 weeks for a diabetes test as I have diabetes in the family. You can also get info on prenatal classes etc... X
I didn't. My doctors have their own machine and tech so I could schedule an appointment same day, but in my case, my next appointment is at 23 weeks because I started late so my weeks are off.
I was expecting to see the midwife after my 21 week scan but i didnt. Basically if everything comes out normal they dont send you for an explanation. I would have liked an explanation really, i will just have to wait until my next midwife appointment to get clarity. My next midwife appointment is actually 23 +2 because when i went for my 16 week she booked me in for the next one but the whole time was saying it will be your 25 week appointment! Obviously worked the dates out wrong but i don want to change it because its during the christmas break and i want explanations lol
