Did your OH go to antenatal classes with you ?

Yep...he's come to 2 with me already, our last one is tomorrow and we'll get a tour of the delivery suite. I think the info is just as valuable to them as it is to us.

My husband came to the labour and birth class. He said it didn't teach him anything I hadn't already told him (from reading on here!)

He didn't come to the breastfeeding one, and I'm glad as no-one else brought their OH's to that one.

We've got the hospital tour tonight and he'll be coming to that.

My DH is coming to my classes...He wanted them more than I did. lol. We booked into 2x 6 hour classes on saturdays that cover everything and are open to questions etc as well.
He also comes to all my antenatal appointments...except for a few when he was away for work.

I did with my first but some women were alone he's never been to a normal midwife antenatal appointment though.

Mine came to all of them (bar the women's only sessions!) and is also going to and expectant fathers class x

We went to the sure start parents to be course on monday night's together when i was pregnant with our first son. Was a nice thing to do together in preparation for baby, and we did the hospital tour (but again not needed this time around) plus he went to almost all of my midwife appointments, but seeing as this is second time, and we know what's goin on (ish) he's only been at the scan's and the 28week midwife appointment when she took my blood (i have a needle phobia) Obviously he'll be at the birth, but there's no need for him to take time off work for the routine appontments this time ^.^

he never been to usual midwifeappt with me apart from that hes been to all scans bar one he was gutted not going but hes starting birthing classes tonight with me

My nhs classes are during the day 2 hrs for 3 wks in a row - and they are for women only.

Last time it was women only again, if I took OH he would have been the only guy there!!

There is one separate class that OH's are invited too.

I would phone up and check as if they were like my classes he would have gone mad if he turned up and been the only one there!!

Mine came to my antenatal class and has been to all but one midwife appointments (I've had them weekly since about 24 weeks). I think it's great to include them as I know my DH feels it's his way of supporting me as much as possible. After all, they can't do much else as we have to get the LO's out
