So being single, i do struggle a bit with things, but I'm pretty proud of how well i cope.

So i prepared myself for all the usual, average struggles of being a single mum. But i never even stopped to think about preparing myself for this...

so last night i was doing my dishes (as you do) and when i put my hand into the bowl to locate an item to wash... i like mutilated my finger (slight exaggeration, it's a small, deep painful cut, but I'm surviving :winkwink:) so after throwing the large knife down, chucking the sponge in the air and shouting a few... choice words... i ran to get a plaster...

How the hell do you open a plaster... one handed, blood dripping everywhere, and then proceed to plaster your wound accurately and properly when the cut is on your dominant hand?! :dohh:

I did not even think that simple things like this would be such a struggle!!

so yeah i managed... my fingers all bandaged up now :)

men... who needs them :coffee:

 I let out a little chuckle on this one

Sorry about your poor finger but glad you got it all sorted out yourself without needing a man around to bandage it up.

Sorry I had a little giggle at that.

Well done you for bandaging yourself up (:

Glad you managed dear. And yeah, sometimes you just don't know how alone you are until you are in situations like this! But like you said, we will all make it through without a man.

This made me giggle, cos simple things like this also make me so proud! we definately dont need men, im a single mum of 2, and i love my kids more than life and im so proud of how far ive come in 6 months :)
