die cast train compatibility

Hiya we have loads of Thomas take n play trains but no track as just liked collecting the trains! Lucas had a reward chart and had asked for some chuggington trains which I have on order but wondered if the Thomas trains worked on the chuggington track? Not interested in play sets but the entertainer had chuggington track cheap and thinking off getting a few sets for his birthdayjust wondered if his Thomas ones would work of he wanted them to?

bump someone must know! wheels on chuggington seem slightly more narrow than Thomas but l other than that the same

Hopefully this link works for you.. we only have wooden tracks and both the chuggington and thomas trains work but I couldnt eben tell u anything about the tracks like if they r thomas or chuggington (they were given to me)

We have wooden Thomas and track. Die cast Thomas and just got a die cast chuggington set. This one https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00BE04NBW?pc_redir=1396842056&robot_redir=1

The die casts are narrower than the woodens so don't quiet fit on wooden tracks ( you can play with them but its a bit awkward. The die cast Thomas trains fit on the above chuggington set as its not track sort of thing just enclosed flat pieces. Not sure if all the chuggington is the same.
