i need a bit of help on how to word a dla form, my partner can walk 40 yards before being in an imense amount of pain then he cant do anything for the rest of the day he uses a crutch, he can peel vegatables but i refuse to let him cook incase he falls in the kitchen and burns himself i help him with everything, so im just wondering how to word this on the form, many thanks

i think it may be because no one can tell you how to sucessfully fill in a dla claim form

you havent told us what is wrong with him, so it is impossible to comment anyway

i think you have to explain your partners condition as it is, but no one else can do that for you

Which specific part of the form? Does he have a diagnosed condition?

My OH is on DLA/Incapacity benefits. He just wrote down everything that his condition stops him from doing. He mentioned all the things he cant and must not do alone. He wrote about his worst days, rather then his better days.

he had a car accident a few year ago he had a open spiral fracture to his tibia and fibia he has had phisiotheropy to try and strenghthen the muscle which has been unsuccseful suffers a great amount of pain when walking from the joints he suffers with cramp a hell of a lot in the leg he broke, he uses his stick permanantly due to the pain when walking, he has restricted movement in that leg and loss of feeling which makes everyday life a struggle . thanx for the replys hopefully u can get a better understanding now

I think what you just wrote should do. I would get some supporting letters from the Physio too.... Confirmation if the accident also, they are really strict with DLA these days...

Good luck getting DLA sorted hun, it is helpful to have, especially in situations such as your OHs. x

Sometimes the jobcentre or the CBA can help you fill it in and give you guidence on what to include. xxx
