hello : ] i only started looking up cloth nappies yesterday and after too many hours sat on the comp i've decided to get some Disana tie ons and a few wool wraps. i like the look of em and they seem a lot more affordable than other ones i've seen. have any of you ladies used either the nappies or wraps and how did you get on with them?
thanks !

The wool wraps are fantastic :) We swear by them at night
The tie ons I think would be fine for a smaller baby but I didn't try them until I had a very wriggly crawler and I think I only got it on properly once! I wouldn't even try using them now LO can stand up on his own and walk off!

Can't recommend the wool soakers enough though

The wool pants are really great. Fab value for money and we found them bomb proof once they've been lanolised a couple of times.

The tie on nappies are great too. They're very soft and very adjustable; perfect for a newborn. For an older baby (from not very old, maybe a week or two actually), you will probably find that the nappy on its own isn't absorbent enough to last more than one wee/more than an hour but it's very easy to add boosters to them. I've used them very successfully as an occasional 'back to basics' nappy when I'm feeling all earthy . Now, I put a Flip stay dry insert in, so basically I'm using the Disana as a way to make any insert into a fitted nappy. For a newborn, although you probably won't need boosters straight away, I would add a fleece liner to each nappy to keep baby dry.

All in all, they're both very good, organic nappies at great prices. You can't fault them really.

ETA - If it's too hard tying the nappy on an older baby, you can cut off the ties and use a nappi nippa.
