Hello ladies,

Hope you are all doing well. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced what I am experiencing. I am only 15 weeks pregnant, but over the last few days I have had a lot of crampy feelings (mildly to moderately painful, quite uncomfortable), mainly brought on by doing, well, anything really! It is very frustrating. They get better if I rest and lie on couch and I have seen the doctor today who has told me to rest/work from home for the next two weeks. I am just worried that I am the only person getting pain/discomfort this early on!

Someone, please, tell me I am not alone! Probably TMI but I do suffer from bad period pains (well, when not pregnant!) so don't know if that just means I am susceptible. I am also pretty slim (was 8 stone 3 before pregnancy - five foot six) so don't know if that makes a difference? I only have two friends with kids and they didn't get pain at all - they got the morning sickness, which I hardly got! Had scan two weeks ago and all looked okay...

Sorry for the long post and thanks for any advice. A :-)

Hi, I'm 16 weeks tomorrow and have been feeling the same. Been worried about it since Friday. The pains are not bad just uncomfortable and some time feel dull if that makes sence. Had a scan booked already today and was so glad to me told everything was ok. The doctor said to just think how much your insides are changing and moving around of cause you may feel a little strange. Hope this helps xx

Thank you, I am so glad it isn't just me! Also very glad to hear your scan went well :-) A x

Im the same , i never had it with my first , but im getting it everyother day x

I have been getting it. It goes away within a couple of minutes. I also I have had some back pain. The doctor told me it was round ligament pain. Just everything stretching making room for the baby/

I have been having them everyday too!!! Its just painful and uncomfortable...
Doc suggested drinking loads of water.

I've been getting this too. Reckon it's growing pains (they woke me up the other night!) I'm also on the slim side and a woman at work said she had the same and her midwife said it was because she was so small too. Am sure it's all part of the wonderful world of being pregnant!! Try not to worry hon, just mention it at your 16 wk appointment?! X

I'm 16 weeks and I am uncomfortable a lot too. Mostly just round ligament pains but sometimes they are pretty painful, and I sneeze all the time and that always seems to hurt. I'm also having trouble sleeping just because it is hard to get comfortable and I have to get up a lot to pee. I was having some bizarre pains in my back/butt/legs that felt a lot like pinched nerves, and although that has been getting better I'll still get painful spasms and aches from time to time.

I'm not sure if its related, but I'm relatively small too and tend to get bad cramps during my period. I have a retroverted uterus (tilted back) so my back tended to hurt a lot during my period and I think that may be why I seem to have trouble with it now even though I'm barely showing and haven't even started to put on weight yet.

i think its just stretching pains hun, i don't think it's anything to worry about too much, but if you are then call your midwife xx

Yup, I've been having the same for the last couple of weeks. The doctor told me not to worry, they are normal streching pains.

Don't worry, have some rest and they'll probably ease up in a few days.

:flower:

Thank you ladies for all your comments. I feel a lot better now I know it isn't just me! I also had my midwife appointment today and she said the pain/discomfort would probably settle down with some rest and that as long as there isn't bleeding, I probably don't need to worry.

Best wishes for all your pregnancies. Xx

I had constipation last week and then woke up this morning and had really odd gripey pains under my ribs which have stayed on and off all day. these are more of a dull ache really.

I have also been getting twingey pains on my right side- up and down-and a throbbing pain on left side where it almost feels like a pulled a muscle when i sneezed. apparently the twingey thing can be the round ligament pain. and midwife said that you can pull muscles easily when you are pregnant due to softening from progesterone.

been a bit worried about the aches, but hoping it is growing pains or possibly a stomach bug. can be a few things- but hopefully none serious.

Hope yours settle down

I have been having cramps since 7 weeks and all the dr say in round ligament pains. Im no expert but for the majority of my pregnancy I have been eating healthy. Until this weekend I got snowed in and have ate cookies and greasy food for the past 3 days. I have not had a cramp until today when I ate a salad. I have come to the conclusion that lo does not like his veggies already.
To settle my cramps after eating the salad I ate cookies and milk and no more cramps hehehe
