Hello all! I am new to this forum but am hoping to find some support. The ladies that are closest to me concieved on their first try, so they don't completely understand what I'm going through. My husband and I have been TTC for about 9 months now. AF was always regular until we started TTC. From the first month until December, AF was around a week late. As of today, the last time AF came for a normal stay was december 7. Since then she has been MIA. I had some very light, brown spotting in the first week of March. I have taken several tests with negative results. I just don't understand what the problem is and why this is so hard. At this point, I just want my cycle to be normal again so that I have a starting point. We keep getting questions from the families about if we're pg yet, and all it does is make me feel inadequate that it hasn't happened and that at this point, I don't even know when my cycle will start again.... I've mentioned to our families that it hurts when they mention things, and they've stopped for the most part, but it's always in the back of my mind.

Hey babylaw,

I totally understand where you are coming from as I am in the same boat searching for answers too. My last proper period was on the 27th jan and since then I have had 2 spotted sessions one after 20 days and the other after 24 days. My tests all come up negative and I can't figure out why this is happening. I have had periods since I can remember!

I just want my period to come as well so I can start ttc again. Its so frustrating when I know I would have been another 2 cycles gone. I'm seeing a dr tomorrow so will keep you updated on what they say. I have had a hormone blood test which came back normal. Im pretty sure it is PCOS.

I also get the when are you having a baby. It's got so frustrating we have now started telling people that we don't want to have kids - what can we do!

Not knowing what the problem is is the hardest part. My Dr for some reason is not concerned, and doesn't seem to care much that I am. Last appt I went to, she tested my thyroid which came back normal, but doesn't think it's necessary to do anything else. If i knew the problem I would just deal with it....
We wouldn't be able to get away with saying we don't want kids because everyone knows how much we do.....

:hugs:

Good luck with everything. That's really frustrating to not know what's going on with your body. I don't have any good ideas about what you could do to help regulate your cycles. Do you think that stress could be keeping you from having a period?

My doctor is the same way. I asked her if I should take any pre-prenatal vitamins or anything, and she just told me not to worry and that I'd get pregnant. Um, thanks, but I was looking for medical advice, not just the same thing that I can get from some woman on the street. :growlmad:

I don't have many words myself today but wanted to pop by and leave you some hugs xxx

I am in the same category hun.. and believe me I know the frustration..... My last af was 20th january and before that I had a cycle of 100+!! .. I just want say that you had regular cycles before which could mean that you are stressing out yourself on the pressure that everyone has on u....Please don't let ppl get to you and let them know that all in gods time it will happen when they ask... I know the feeling when everyone keeps asking and even when they're not asking u kno they are talkin about it... I never had a normal cycle and since I'm married my immediate family both on my husband n my side is constantly asking ... now they have realized that I'm bothered by it but they talk about other ppl kids with me and I know they are throwing those words for me.... I think that stress has impacted my af alot work since ttc... and I'm trying not to stress but then my af is not coming and I just want to start TTC ...

Last saturday I started using Fertilitea, it supposed to regulate my af.. I will let you all know how it works....

OOO i've written alot ;)

Thanks for the hugs and encouragement ladies! I know it will come in time I just hope that something more serious isn't wrong with me. Maybe I'll try that fertilitea just to get myself back on track.

Your welcome and u could read the reviews on amazon.. I really think there's nothing to lose by using it

Thank you and congrats on your little miracle! I'm trying to stay positive. Has your cycle always been irregular? Mine was always perfect until ttc. Aside from not stressing about it was there anything else you did different this time?

my cycles were always 31--35 days. Quite irregular.. Once a year I would get a 50 day cycle. I could always tell I ovulated because my bbs would hurt straight after. I had no bb pain from jan to march and thats when I gave in.

Honestly I just stopped letting tracking get to me as I had no clue where I was with my cycle. You will get your positive. We bd every other day and if it got too tiring we injected using the pre seed syringe. We thought no harm in trying and to be honest when we did that all of the sperm stayed up. Normally it used to come out of me in seconds. Don't be scared to dive into the unknown and try new things and ask your dr to scan your ovaries just for peace of mind. If you ladies don't mind can I stick around? Your journey is quite similar to my one and I would love to know your outcomes x

I don't mind at all. It's nice to have someone around who shares our struggles but has seen success. It is truly inspiring!

I'm doing okay. The last few days I've been feeling extreme pressure in my lady parts which is something I haven't experienced before. Maybe af is coming for revenge since she hasn't been here since early December, I don't know...all I know is it's making me feel like crap. Other than that, things are pretty good.

Do you normally get ewcm after o? I had that last cycle which I found weird as I normally always dry up and only get a little creamy cm after o and completely dry before af

Theres a natural supplement I took to help regulate my hormones called FertilAid for women! Its sold by Fairhaven Health, is super great! They also sell other things to aid in fertility support. A lot of women with PCOS have used it and had successful pregnancies! They also offer supplements for men too.

I honestly don't know. Like I said, the last time af came for real was Dec 7, so I don't know if I'm oing at all. I was using OPKs but it was just getting too expensive and stressing me out. I feel like I have cm most of the time, on and off, but I just don't know what to think of anything. Still trying to bd in case I'm somehow oing without af ever showing up. I don't exactly know what people are referring to when they say they "feel their egg drop", so I'm just sitting here in the dark and confused.
