do I really need HSG?

Hi
M ttc frm 2yrs.I finished 7 clomid round ,ovulated every cycle.
Got BFP in second clomid round but miscarried in 8 weeks.(Normal Sperm Analysis)
Now took 3 months break...Just started Femers.
And next week having HSG.
But my question is Do I really need HSG bcoz I had conceived earlier?
Please suggest.

It's good to have it to rule out certain issues. I have a 2 year old dd so we knew at least one of my tubes had to be open. At the HSG I discovered that my left tube was open, but the right wass partially blocked. Because of that they suspect endo and adhesions interfering with conception and I'll be getting a lap soon.

They are not nearly as bad as you think and are pretty quick. Good luck!

I think it's a very important test to have even if you have conceived in the past it helps pinpoint any problems, and even if you have a small blockage the procedure itself could help clear things up! Not to mention that I've heard of a lot of women falling pg immediately after their HSG!

It's not too bad...the pain is like really bad cramps, but by the time you get to the point of thinking it's too painful the test is over and the pain leaves immediately

Honestly its not any worse than a smear test. In my area they won't even give you clomid until they have checked.

I had mine on Tuesday and honestly it was fine. The faf of getting ready signing papers etc took longer than the actual examination.

2 hospital gowns to keep you fully covered, one on frontward the other backwards.
