Do lines get darker?

I am new to this TTC party and have started using OPK's. I have the ones that look like a pregnancy test but are not digital. Do the lines get increasingly darker the closer you get to ovulation? I tested this morning and the line was the darkest it has been and pretty close to the control line, just a little lighter. Does this mean I am getting close?

Yeah that means your getting close, the line should get darker and darker until its the same or more than the control line. Good luck
