Warning.! ***
I thought it would be a good idea to get my ultra sound photos laminated , because people told me they would fade , but i was wrong :/ . i took my 2 best photos of little one to get laminated , & i guess because the type of paper they're printed on , the heat from the laminator turned them completely black.! :/ The people at the store felt really bad because they didn't know that would happen , ughhh . I'm glad i took some photos of the pictures , so i'll try to get those printed & see how they look

Aww that sucks :( i've been told not to leave them on the window ledge as if they're in the sunlight it can effect them.

I'd like to get copies done of my scan pictures just incase anything went wrong but i'm hesitant about using a scanner on them lol :flow: xx

Aw :/ sorry to hear that! :(
Lucky you did take photos! x

I scanned my photos and they never changed or anything

Thanks girls.! Just thought i should post that here in case any one else was thinking about doing the same thing

& Side note * I had such a great time at my baby shower yesterday.!! Will be posting pictures soon

did your hospital not tell you? mine told me that you can scan your scan photos but under no circumstances to photocopy them of laminate them because of the heat. Sorry that your pictures are ruined x

Mine has a notice up saying not to do it, but I'm glad they did as I think I would have done the same thing xx

Ahh the hospital should have told you, that sucks :( It's because they're thermal imaging pictures and the heat from the laminator causes a reaction - making it turn black :(

That's a shame. :(

I remember when I was pregnant someone tried to get their ultrasound photos laminated and it turned out horrible. Your doctors office should have copies of the pictures either way, next time you go for an appointment you should just ask for those two pictures again, even though you've taken photos of them, it's always nice to have the originals.

Good idea thank you.!

I work in a copy and print store and make copies etc.. We are trained to NOT take ultrasound pictures because of that happening. It pretty much turns them all black because the paper is different then regular paper.. I am sooo sorry.. We would of not even attempted to do it for you here at Staples Copy & Print.

That really does suck!
I got told if you want to laminate them to get that laminating paper stuff that you do yourself.
My mom has my scan photos in a photo album & they have lasted 19 years now! (& people say photo albums are bad)
Ive just took pictures of all of mine so i have them stored elsewhere incase anything did happen to them. xx

oh no! lucky you took pics of them! I'd be heartbroken. mine are in an envelope in a bag in a keepsake box :haha: nice and safe!

Yeah i was pretty upset :/
Asked at the doctors office if they keep copies or had any others in my file that i could have & they said no.!
