Do some Kegels when you see this thread!

Definitely never too soon to start! I've actually been doing them for years not even knowing that's what I was doing lmao. I was not aware it was called a "kegel" until I was about 22. I am now 29. I have serious control over my pelvic muscles because of it. My fiance loves it lol! This thread was a really good idea

good idea! I purchased some of these https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=26585 after my first pregnancy but couldn't use them because I had internal scarring (nothing went up there for at least 2 years!). But according to my other friends who used them they are supposed to be fantastic for kegels and your pelvic floor stability!

This thread has been reminding me for almost a week to keep doing them, Hahaa I log on a few times a day and always do them when I see this thread. Such a good idea! X

Ugh I hate doing them but I know I need to so thank you got the thread, it's the only thing that reminds me! Lol!

BUMP!

Ugh this is difficult lol I can only do them maybe 4-6 seconds and I try to do at least 5 a day. I need to step it up

This is a little embarrassing... but can someone please explain how you do Kegels? I think I am doing it, but I'm not really sure! Someone described it as the muscles you would use to stop peeing, and to me this is almost a tightening/'sucking in' feeling down there. Am I way off? And is it better to do quick repetitions or hold/release?

Yeah that's it. I don't know which is better though. I try to hold/release for several reps

According to one of the pregnancy books I read (it was awhile ago, I don't remember which one), you hold and release. They suggested started at 10 repetitions of 10 seconds, and building from there like you would with any workout, but I'm sure that starting out slower would still help.

Fab idea! I always forget!

*bump!*
