I just went with the flow at first. There wasnt really a pattern to it till about 12 weeks. Now she has 5 bottles a day between 30-35 oz.

I have written it down, times and oz since birth. Purely as i have a crap memory and need to know when the last one was not wondering was it 2? or 3pm? was it 5 or 6 oz? lol. If you can remember then no probs.

ALso i work in a nursery and we daily diary all the kids eat and drink for the parents, so used to seeing it on paper

I dont think there is a yes or no answer as most people say to do what you feel.

I count up to 20z per day as thats the min that they need, and then i stop after that

I don't as baby takes what they need,Never have with any of mine.I just go with it.I used to think right ok they must have had at least 5 bottles today so surely no more and i would fret more thinkg they can not be hungry.Now I just go with Abi.She seems happy and is gaing weight xx

YEah as long as you know they're having the "suggested" min oz (sma only says one amount? that min or max i dont know) then its ok

This is how much Lily takes and i do write down what shes takes as hv is always asking but its cos shes so little

I've never kept a check/log on how many oz's Harry has had each day. I've sometimes been made to feel as though I should be doing (e.g. by HV and some posts on here etc), but the way I see it is - Harry feeds when he's hungry.... I don't want to start setting targets for how much he should be having because i'll just get myself wound up. It's the same with the charts in his red book - I haven't got a clue about "centiles" and I don't want to either! So long as he's putting weight on, and the HV says he's a good weight for his age, that's all i'm bothered about.

i like alys to have atleast 5 bottles a day of atleast 6oz and she takes them so im happy sometimes she'll take more, i just like it for my peace of mind

I used to write down everything Chloe drank when she first came home coz she never had much and the MW agreed after she'd seen what she drank..then i stopped but since I put her bottles up on Monday she seems to be drinking less so I think its time for the pen and paper to come out again plus my brains turning to mush so i keep forgetting!!

i just kind of do the math in my head.
i don't focus on it too much, because some days he'll eat like a major pig, and the next he might not be as interested.
he's been gaining well each time he's weighed, so i just look at it as he's obviously eating what he needs!

I feed her on demand... I don't pay attention to how many oz's total in a day I pay more attention to how often she eats/how much usually. My reason for not paying attention really is it would drive me crazy, I can't make her eat more or not let her eat as much as she wants, so I don't think there's much point for US to to it But whatever you want to do really.

Nope, I don't pay any attention to the total amount but I do look at how much she takes at each feed.

She has a very good routine herself and wants feeding every 4hrs but will go 8hrs during the night and then 5hrs early morning. She's offered 4x 6oz and 1x 7oz bottles a day... sometimes she'll drain every single one and other days she might only take 4oz's of a bottle... but like others have said, what can you do if they don't take "enough"? You can't force them to eat!

We do 6 feeds over 24 hours and try to have it at regular intervals, but she kind of dictates now when she's due a feed herself.
She had some problems at first with being lazy due to the drugs i had but last couple of days she's found her appetite and woe betide us if we dont give in and feed her to her schedule.
