Up to now I have bathed and given last feed at about 9.30/10pm. He has then woken for a feed at about 3am and then 6/7/8am ish, which suited me fine as I was only up once in the night.

Now I would like to move bedtime routine to 7/8pm but am then wondering if I should dream feed or not?

The problems are that he goes 4 hours between feeds which would be 11 or 12 at night so I would only have been asleep for an hour or so!

Or should I just leave him til he wakes for a feed? Or try to dream feed at 10 even though he may not be hungry? Also he doesn't feed well when asleep. Is there a knack to it?

Sorry for all the questions! Advice very welcome!!

at 4 weeks, your Lo should average be feeding every 3 hours, our routine at your lo age was feed at 7,10,1,4 bath at 6.30pm then bedtime bottle at 7pm. I would then dream feed at 10-10.30pm, he would then go till 6.30am ISH
at 4 weeks your LO should have 6 bottles a day.

we started a dream feed at just 6 weeks - 10.30pm.
LO took to it fine, just changed her nappy from asleep, kept quiet and dark and away wewent.
she had bee on a 3hr feeding schedule for ages anyway so 7.30pm - 10.30pm.
she would then sleep until 6.30/7am x

I tried dream feeding several times but it never worked, she'd always be wide awake when I picked her up...
