I purchased the travel cot from asda direct - didn't think about a sheet for the matresses ??
As it's quite a large one we couldn't find a matresses to fit it anywhere as the matresses it came with looks very thin so we are just making do at the moment. So wasn't sure if you could just use the cot matresses without a sheet ?

Xx

I use a sheet with my travel cot but then lo is in it every night now until he goes into his own room.

You're right about the mattress that comes with them - they are so thin. As we are using it as the main bed at the mo we did buy an additional mattress - bought it online for about £30 as, like you've said, some travel cots are larger and none of baby shops sold one to fit. It was a really good buy actually, you could specify if you wanted all or part plastic covered.

We just used a regular cot sheet tucked in well on ours. To be honest, LO doesn't sleep in it much. We got it for the living room and he's just more content sleeping on me.

We use an ordinary cot sheet ANC when we went on holiday I ordered an extra matters as I didn't think it would be very comfortable to sleep on one so hard for a whole week. The one we ordered was still thin enough to fold for packing in the car but was proper foam, much more comfy.

We use a normal cotbed sheet and over the mattress and under the sheet i put the cot quilt that came with the bedding pack, looks alot more comfortable :)

We've bought a mattress online they make to measure. But while we waited its arrival I padded it out using a mattress protector, her pram blanket another thick blanket and a sheet, still not as comfy as foam mattress though.

You can get thicker travel cot mattresses for travel cots which turn them into more permanent beds rather than beds for one or two nights. You can also from this site I have linked buy special travel cot mattress sheets.

We used grobags for our children in travel cots so a sheet was a good idea for us as it had that bit of extra comfort we found.

I bought a travel cot to leave at my parents house and bought a better mattress online. We just use cot sheets tucked over it
