Do you recycle gifts?!

Coming off another thread, just wondering if anyone ever recycles gifts?

Say for example a bath set you recieve for x-mas, give it to someone else for a birthday/xmas present?

yes. My lo's birthday is in July and he got lots of toys that he's already got from xmas last year so i keep them and gave them away to various kids whose birthdays are in november and also for xmas this year. Theres no point keeping them and wasting money so i just give them away! its great! xx

yes, i always get loads of bath stuff and ive sensitive skin so cant use certain stuff so its recycled for bdays/xmas x

Nah - i remember once i gave my friend a present for christmas and she obviously forgot i had given it to her because she gave it back to me for my birthday I can remember thinking how very rude lol so ive never done it

I haven't done it but think I would do it if I had double of something or I wouldn't use it!

Nah I haven't but I don't see a problem with it If you have something you'll never use, then why not!

I have done it but only if I think the person will really like it. Like a bracelet that really wasn't my taste but that would really suit someone else. I wouldn't give someone just any old tat that I didn't like.

I do, but only if I'm sure the person would like it. If not I'd rather just give it tot the charity shop.

I don't think I have. People ask me what I want and I tell them. If anyone gave me a bath set, I'd probably send it to the Salvation Army or something. I hate bath sets and wouldn't want to pass it onto anyone else.

I believe the trendy term for it is re-gifting! I have done it before esp when I was supply teaching and we were broke! Sometimes I get given really nice stuff like Sanctuary body lotion which I can't use as I'm allergic to lanolin so I'll give it to someone else who I think will appreciate it. The other stuff either goes in the school tombola or gets given to DH's cousin who buys my presents from the pound shop!

i haven;t because i've always been quite lucky with getting things i want or would use.
however i'm not against it and totaly would should i recieve something i didnt like but someone else would
