Now that someone has pointed it out to me, it's been bugging me... When you post a thread, do you say thank you to all of the responders or just the ones you agree with?
I always thought since the button is right there, it would be posite to just press it, especially if I don't have time to respond... Is it just me?

I tend to thank everyone as it means they have taken the time to read my thread and reply. xxx

I forget alot tbh, I often say in the post thanks in advance or thanks for the reply. To me it doesn't mean the poster isn't grateful if they haven't thanked me for replying. If I write a post and I do remember to thank people, I thank everyone not just who I agree with. I also use the thanks if someone else has posted and I like/ agree but don't want to write a whole other post saying I agree!

I always forget but i usually say thank you in the message to everyone.

I always start off thanking everyone. But tend to forget if I get alot of replies. If I'm on someone else's thread then I thank the ones I like or agree with! :)
Blame the forgetfulness on baby brain though! :)

I too get to a point sometimes where if there are a lot of replies and it's the same 2-3 people all having a conversation it feels a bit silly... I'm just not sure when to cut it off lol

I don't use the 'thank you' function much, but generally with a thread I've made I don't thank usually anyone, only because I couldn't be arsed thanking everyone if it's a long one, and only thanking certain people tends to cause offence and I even more can't be arsed with forum politics

I always try to remember to thank everyone, including the ones I don't agree on, just because someone doesn't agree with me doenst mean their point is any less valid or wanted.

i always say thanks as people take the time to post and help althoug a dont post alot,

even if i get qouted in a reply in someelse thread and someone anwsers in i will hit the thank u button.

Sometimes i use it in place of 'like'. If the person's made a brilliant point I usually thank them.

I either thank everyone that's replied or if I don't have the time I don't thank anyone!
I also use it as a like in other people's threads if I agree with someone's point!

I try to thank everyone really, it depends on the thread though, if its a sillier one I don't bother as much but if i'm asking advice or posted pictures then I do like to thank people xx

I always thank everyone. I think its only fair that they've taken the time to respond and would feel rude otherwise.

Even the ones who don't agree  I HATE HATE HATE it when people don't thank someone simply because they don't agree with the OP. A pet hate should we say

I'm an over thanker :happydance::happydance: I thank everyone on here and in real life. I always say please and thank you. Not saying it bothers me not to get thanked but it is nice that maybe your post has helped in a small way :flower:

I thank everyone's comment i read, whether i agree or not - unless someone is being rude to someone.

If its my thread I thank everyone for taking the time to read and reply, if it's someone else's I thank those I agree with x

I thank everyone who takes the time to respond to a thread I make, regardless of what they're saying!

It's become a pet peeve of mine on this forum when I see the OP only thanking those that agree with them. If it's a rude comment then sure, don't thank them. But if they're trying to offer helpful advice and put thought into it and the OP just ignores it...well, why bother asking for opinions.

If I start a thread, I will thank anyone that answers. Sometimes in other threads I will thank who I agree with.

In my own threads asking advice or opinions I try and thank everyone. In threads like "post a picture" that I have started I try not to start thinking as they sometimes run for months and my click finger would get sore. On other people's threads I thank opinions I share with, compliments, things I find funny, people who might support my view etc etc
