Jus wondered cos people keep asking me if i do? And i dont really, i feel a bit daft lol xx

In the beginning I didn't. Although I always "thought" to her, if that makes any sense? Like to the point where I caught myself PG-ing my own thoughts
But once she started getting her own personality, I started talking out loud. She's a right diva, so when she's acting up and not letting me get any sleep because she's kicking the side I'm laying on, I'll try to compromise with her. I'll tell her, "Olivia, you don't have to stop kicking me, just switch sides." And there have actually been times when she's done it! Perfect timing, she has.

Yeah that makes sense, Haha thats really good bless her. Ive tried talking to him but it just makes me feel daft, ive got an anterior placenta as well so a lo of the times i cant feel his movements that much, so when some people talk to theres and they can feel the baby react by kicking etc, i cant really feel that :( xx

I feel really odd when other people talk to her, tbh! I am too polite for my own good sometimes, so when other people talk to her it makes me feel weird because she doesn't talk back. I mean, obviously she can't! But it's like, she can't really react to what they say, kwim?

i never talked to my bump just felt like i would be talking to myself. i just thought she would hear me enough when i was talking to other people lol.

If you don't mind me asking, what do you say to him?
I love the idea of talking to her, but I don't ever know what to say. I can't just be like, "So, how's it hangin in there? The water nice?" :haha:

i kinda think to my LO, and i pre-screen what i send to her via my thoughts lol, i know that when im talking to another girl or woman outloud bubs doesnt really react but when im talking to my dad he/she kicks and wriggles alot more hehe so i think its the low voice's that he/she can hear and it makes me smile to know that my LO is already recognising his/her grandads voice as it means alot to me that they bond well :)

I'm on my own quite a bit as OH works 6 days a week with his own business and sometimes works away, so i'd end up loosing my voice for good if i never spoke to someone

I say things like;

'Morning Leni'
'Mummy needs to wee'
'Mummy is so hungry, what shall we have?'
'Mummy's going to the shop now'
'Night night Leni'
'Move your bum'
'Stop sticking your leg out'

That kinda thing xx

I do occasionally but I think I will more when I know if bubs is a boy or girl, I feel a little rude calling bubs 'baby' all the time :haha: xx

I know exactly what you mean! That's what I was trying to say when I said that in the beginning I "thought" to her. Glad I'm not the only one! :winkwink:

Ah, okay! I say good morning to her when I wake up, or when I notice she wakes up. (she's a very, very active little baby when she's awake) And recently I've been saying things like "I see your foot!" when she pokes it out the side. So I guess I do talk to her!
I guess I always this idea that when people talked to their bumps they were like, having a one-sided conversation or something. :dohh:

i talk to him sometimes. just things like,
'check you out, wiggling your bum'
'stop hurting mummy'
'will we go for a bath?'

i actually tend to talk to him more when my OH is around. its like ill say 'stop kicking my ribs aiden!' but i guess it's just me trying to get sympathy from him, without directly saying 'YOUR CHILD IS HURTING ME!' :haha:

xx

I always feel bad because I feel like I don't talk to her enough outloud because I do what Ally does haha. For awhile I was reading to her but then I thought about it and I didn't see how reading to her was any different than talking since it wasn't like I could show her pictures or anything. But she always kicks the most (aside from when I'm about to go to bed) when I'm talking to OH. It's like she's saying "UH HEY I'M HERE TOO!" and will even start kicking him if i'm on my side. :haha: I feel like it will be a lot easier to speak to a baby rather than my stomach :p

I kind of talk to LO when my OH is around, like ask him/her to move their elbow/knee/bum, or sometimes I'll randomly say something like "come on bubs let's go get some food" but I don't think I've ever talked to the bump when I'm alone x

i dont really talk to my bump but i stroke my stomach and pat it and she kicks when i do thatxx

i doo.. especially with her being due soon..
it's mainly some kind of bribe or insentive for her to come NOW! haha..
but i say things like..

"hello my little bubba"
"why you hurting mummy?" (when she kicks really hard)

i talk to her loads when my OH is around..
cause when we have jokey fights, she always sticks up for me.. (even though it's probably just coincidence)..
plus it means we both get to bond with her at the same time! :)
xxxx

i dont really 'talk'
sometimes i just say things like
'oh please go to sleep now'
'ouch that kick was hard'

silly things like that lol x
