Do you wake up your LO for their last feed?

I was just wondering whether everyone wakes their LO for their last feed at around 10 / 11ish or allows them to sleep until they next wake naturally??

I've been really struggling to get Jay to go down in the evenings (he fights sleep so much :hissy:) and am debating whether I should wake him before I go to bed to feed him again or let him sleep through for a few hours??

A few days ago I did wake him at about 11pm before I went to sleep to feed him (he's Bfing) and he took over an hour and a half to settle back to sleep, but he then slept for 6 hours straight (for the first time ever).

I was just wondering what does everyone else do?

xx

Hi hun im breastfeedin too and i put Jake down at about 8.15 and he wakes and feeds about 2am then goes straight back to sleep xx

I'd just leave him hun, I don't think he'll let himself go hungry. I put Harry down at about 6:30, he wakes at about 10 for a feed and bit of awake time and the same at 2ish.

I try to work towards a 10/11pm feed then she'll go til about 6am. I havent had to wake her but if this pattern continues I would if I needed to.

I wake Tegan at 7pm (if shes in bed at 6 which she sometimes is) and again at 10pm for feeds and then she sleeps until about 8am :) x

I always woke tom at 11 for a feed as i thought he would go longer, but when i stopped he still woke up at 5am, still does, but now I figured hunger isnt why he is waking up.

Whatever is best for you - i really depends on whether you think if you let them go through the night, are they getting enough milk? I am sure they will wake us up if they are hungry.

i usually pick Teddy up for a feed but manage to feed him without him fully waking up - he hates to be woken up. That way he feeds and zonks right off again. Sometimes I'm sure he's fully asleep but still feeds (his eyes are closed). It helps me to get a longer sleep and delays the night feed from 2 to 4 or 5.
