Do your dates "add up" ?

What I mean is after my dating scan I am 8weeks. Counting 8 weeks back takes me to a week before I ovulated and a week after my LMP.
Although this is my 3rd time lol I am a bit confused!!
If my LMP was 26th July. I ovulated on 12th Aug and we DTD ON 10th & 11th of Aug when did I conceive?
I'm confused and proably losing my mind x

If you know you ovulated on the 12th for sure, that is when the conception happened!
The standard dating from LMP is based on an average 28 day cycle. Yours sounds a few days longer than that.
the 12th August was exactly 6 weeks ago, so your embryo is exactly 6 weeks old. Then the docs add on 14 days to fit in with the LMP dating system. So you are perfectly spot on for dates! But because your cycle is longer, your period was a little more than 8 weeks ago. Not everyone has the 28 day cycle.
You should be really pleased as your scan is spot on to the precise day!

Wow thxnks!! My cycle is usually 31-33 days and I know I ov'd on the 12th cos I had bad pains and ended up in bed a lot of the day! That makes more sense now thank you xx

Yep my dates added up 100%. I am 10+1 today and I had my period 10+1 ago!

Mine don't add up. My LMP was June 6, 2011... which would make me 15 weeks and 4 days pregnant going by my doctor. HOWEVER my cycle is generally 34 days long which put me at 14 weeks and 5 days. THEN my dating ultrasounds actually put me at 13 weeks and 6 days! That means I would have conceived on Sunday July 3rd... making it a 42 day cycle! Which also means I would implanted around the 12th of July. I got my first positive test on July 7th and it wasn't with an early detection test either. So I'm a little confused lol.
