Hi,

I didn't track my last AF... so was thinking I was late... but my doc did bloods and on the 19th Oct checked everything and said Oh you was about to Ovulate then.. because of the numbers??
So I had my AF 12th Nov and all gone from today so when should I opk from not knowing my AF length on a monthly Thanks

Unfortunately the only way to really know for sure is to track from 1st day of last period to ovulation. Sorry. To play it safe I would start your OPKs on CD 11 or 12 so in your case that would be November 22nd or 23rd. I typically ovulate the day after my first positive OPK. So then you count from then until your next period starts and that is your luteal phase length. Have you thought about charting your temps?

From my understanding, our ovulation date varies (leading to longer or shorter cycles) but our luteal phase variance is much smaller, typically 10-16days thereabouts. I have 5-8weeks long irrrgular cycles, and my temping shows I always ovulate 14-16days before AF arrives.
