I got a positive ovulation test today. I had my coil removed 3 months ago and this is our 2nd month TTC. Since having it removed my cycles are between 33-34 days. If i ovulate tomorrow this cycle will be 33 days.

So does getting a positive ovulation test mean i will definately ovulate soon or can you get a LH surge and not ovulate?

Thanks

You *can* but it's not common.

The LH surge is what tells your ovary to release the egg. Every now and then, your ovaries say no thanks and it doesn't happen.

This is pretty rare though and generally speaking, you should assume you ovulate 12-36 hours after a positive OPK
