Does anyone else accidentally sleep on their back!!!??

The midwife I had with my LO said that if it was bad for you personally you would either feel faint or uncomfortable and wouldn't want to be on your back.
I've slept on my back right the way through with my LO and this time too because it's the only way I'm comfy and can get to sleep! My hips hurt when im on my side! Had no problems at all so I assume that I'm not upsetting the baby x

I end up on my back some nights because I'll go to switch sides because of a leg cramp or something and stop when I roll onto my back because it takes SO much effort to fully turn to the other side and I'm too exhausted to handle it hahaha. I never spend too much time on my back though because it gets uncomfortable. I try not to worry about it.

I too was worried about the lack of oxygen because almost every night I would wake up flat on my back at some stage. Just wanted to let you know I had a very healthy baby with no problems at all!

I am actually getting dizzy when I'm on my side if the pillows are not high enough. My back ends up being the best position for me.

I always wake up on my back and I'm almost 37 weeks...oops! :) I think my body would readjust if it needed to!

I don't know how anyone can sleep on their backs in the third trimester without getting dizzy or breathless!

I still wake up on my back. This stopped at about 34 weeks for me last time so I assume the same will happen this time :)

Yess! I never intentionally sleep on my back, sometimes in the middle of the night I'll roll on to my back but always in my half awake/half asleep daze.. I realize almost immediately and quickly roll back on to my side. I don't think it's a horrible thing to sleep on your back, I mean obviously you can't completely stop your body from rolling in the middle of the night, but I can't stay on my back for long anyway, I can feel myself not being able to breathe properly after just about 10 seconds, which is probably why I'm able to quickly roll to my side asap
