does anyone else have periods like this?? TMI

sorry girls but need to ask

i come on the first day and it will be very red and i probably only need to change my towel once a day.

the 2nd day it has eased of abit and i wont need to change at all. on the 3rd and 4th day it is just brown discharge.

is this normal? does anyone else have periods like this? a friend of mine thinks my lining of my womb isnt getting thick enough as my periods are so light.

any ideas?

I have to say mine are quite similar to this. I only tend to have the first day as proper bleeding (used to be reddy brown sorry tmi) but I have just started my 2nd round of Clomid and witch arrived last month and the first day it was bright red but just for day 1 (wonder if Clomid was reason for bright red colour). Even on the first day though I could probably get away with changing tampon twice ?? The next few days after are just brown blood and discharge and hardly need to change tampon.

I have googled this a few times before cause I was a bit worried and could find no evidence to suggest that anything was wrong so try not to worry about it.

thank you, i am on clomid also so maybe it is something to do with the drug. i have had scans and each time they have said my lining is thick but u know when someone keeps sayin it to you it makes u wonder.

Oh that's interesting that your on Clomid too. It's nice to know that someone else is having periods similar, does put's your mind at rest.

I am hoping I won't find out what cycle no 2 will be like. Have a feeling it will be the same though if it happens. I really fancy 9 months off and she can go on holiday for a bit and leave me alone

Mine is massively heavy for one day only. And I mean massively. Thick, vile, full of clots. The next day its barely there at all.

Mine are very similar to what you have described ... but with me the light discharge last for a few days .. goes .. comes back and then goes for good

min are very similar to yours and a v light - I only use about 4 mini tampons a cycle - and even then only change them not cos I have to but cos I am paranoid about toxic shock.

i got my FS to let me have a few ultrasounds done on cd 14 and cd21 for a few cycles just to check the thickness of my womb and all was fine.

Beg your dr to do them for you hun - cos it really puts your mind at rest if they find nothing is wrong - or if they do at least you know what you are up against.

my monthly's are exactly the same, although i am not on clomid-Sometimes my period only lasts 2 or 3 days, and other months it will last 7 or 8, i have no idea if this is normal or not, having said that, when i had all my tests done, they all came back normal, apart from day 21 where i ovulated some months, and others they think i 'might' not have ovulated,but, they seem to think it's all very normal........i used to be as regular as clockwork, every 28 days, and period would always last 7 days,so, i definately think something has gone haywire since then!

mine are the same 1 day heavy 1 day medium to light, 1-2 days browny discharge. Had scans and at day 9 said lining was thin by day 17 they said lining seem thinish but normal / acceptable. my periods are failry light like yours and there has been the suggestion that my lining is on the thin side. They dont seem overly concerned tho. Oh and i am not on any treatments / drugs at all so its nothing to do with that for me anyway
