Usually I take Lewis out for a walk every in his pushchair everyday. As soon as any sun gets on his face he's squirming around, crying out and is generally uncomfortable.
I put the pushchair hood over straight away, to block out the sun but it also blocks out everything else so he can't see what's going on around him, the whole point in taking him for a walk. (The hood is one that's attached and you can move it to behind/over his head, infront or half & half).
How long do you think it will be before he realises he doesn't have to look at the sun (if that's what he's doing) or until he gets used to it??
