Never had the alarm sound while Damien was in the moses basket or his smaller cot, but now he's in his bigger cot im being woken up 2 or 3 times a night by the alarm. Damien does wriggle constantly, he manages to wriggle from the top of the cot to the bottom most nights. But when the alarm goes off he is usually crammed right up to the side of the cot. I have the sensor pad in the middle of the mattress at the top, where he is put when he is asleep. Im starting to worry that the alarm is going off because he HAS stopped breathing, but every time i check he is absolutely fine. Does anyone know if its going off because he is not close enough to the mat? Sometimes im sure he must be a bit on top of it but it STILL goes off.
Hope this makes sense.

im sure its just because hes wriggled off the mat xxx

Ours used to go off when LO rolled to one end of his cot. We ended up buying an Angelcare monitor instead and have never had a false alarm with it in the 4 months we've had it x

I've been experiencing this too hun, I think it is because they manage to wiggle off the sensor bit, I still worry though and do check on her but she's always fine.

Ahhh, this has made me want to go and buy an angelcare monitor now! Think i will get one next weekend, hopefully me and LO will be able to get a better nights sleep without being woken up by alarms all night! :happydance:

we have 1 and had false alarm 1st time kacey went in cot. We not put the pad diagonally in the cot. It covers more of an area. The false alarms have stoped. Also make sure the sensitivity is on high. Theres a switch on the side or underneath

yes ours goes off on false alarms although less now we have increased the sensitivity - its on the baby unit (the bit with the temp/nightlight on) unscrew the battery bit and theres a switch lo/med/high.

xxx

Didn't know there was a sensitivity button, thanks girls :) Didn't have any false alarms last night

Glad everybody got a good nights sleep last night. It scares the bejesus out of you when it goes off doesn't it
