Does anyone have a doula?

I was researching about them a bit and considering it.. if anyone has one and can explain to me what they do more clearly, what the fees are like, and if they'd recommend it.. I would really appreciate it

Its somebody you hire to be there at the birth to help you alogn and i think helps a little bit after the birth. They offer more 1-1 care than the midwives do.

I have never heard of that in my life. Sounds good though like a birthing partner with knowledge of birth. hummm.

I've never had one but I've heard really good things about them. In the UK the doula should be registered with DoulaUK, maybe there's something similar where you are.
