Does everyone have doubts?

I've always felt that I would have problems but my cycles have never been regular since I started having AF. The only time I was regular was when I was on the pill. Thing is I can see a mental image of me with a bump and a baby so I have to believe its going to happen one day but I am starting to resign myself to a life without children.

I know, it's crazy. And if I ever slipped up on taking a pill, I was totally paranoid that i would defo get preg if I even did it once!

Once I finally do manage to conceive (this year dammit!!), after I have the baby, I now think I would not bother with any birth control and just let nature take its course (or not!). I always thought I'd like a 2.5 to 3 year gap but now I dont think I'd worry about that.

Anyway, getting a bit ahead of myself. Need to focus on getting baby number one!!

A couple of hopeful stories for you. I know someone who tried for 6 years and nothing. She got to 39 and had given up and then wham! baby number one out of the blue!! Then she had that baby and 7 months later came into work one day and laffing told me she was gobsmacked cos she was pregnant AGAIN at 40. Now has 2 beautiful children.

Story number 2. My sister has 3 beautiful children. She thought she was uber fertile as she fell on first month with first child. Second child she was still trying 18 months later. Went to docs to get refered for fertility treatment and was told just to keep trying. You have one so try a bit longer. 19 months it took her for her second. She has no iddea why cos the third was pretty quick too. So just goes to show you can go from really fertile to struggling and then back.

At least we are being investigated so we know why we are not concieving...ignorance is not always bliss. At least in todays world we can find out what is wrong. Can you imagine all those years ago were you just had to wonder why it was not happening and there was no treatment??? Must have been awful back then as having a family was also the be all and end all!!!

So worried...always imagined myself with children though and had their names planned out and the rest from a young age...but then part of me wasn't suprised when I started having problems having a period, never mind getting pregnant! It was almost like I subconsciously expected it?

Gah. Think most women probably have it cross their mind when they feel the old biological clock going...
