Not as far as I'm aware (and experienced!)

Only difference is it has more vitamins and extra iron.

Nah i definitely don't think it does. I'm not changing from hungry baby milk because I'm worried it'll be less filling, as we're BLW so she's not swallowing much yet.

I think it just gives the same nutrients in a smaller volume of milk iykwim, which I guess is good for babies who don't drink much milk. Ruby isn't one of those babies, lol

Follow on milk has a different balance of vitamins and minerals to 1st milk as it's for weaning babies.

Formula and breastmilk are equally filling but breastmilk is more easily digested and that's why some breastfed babies feed more often than formula fed babies.

The hungry baby formulas have cereals added to thicken them and therefore harder for baby to digest so it stays in baby's tummy longer.

Hungry baby formula definitely does not have cereals added...that's goodnight milk. I would not give my baby cereal in a bottle. The difference is that hungry baby formula has more casein (cow's milk protein) in it than first milk, which is, like you say, harder to digest.

I thought you were never supposed to put cereal in with milk so can't believe that hungry baby formula would have cereal added to them.

They haven't. Goodnight milk is milk with added cereal, not hungry baby.

Oops sorry you're right....I dunno why I said that


Cereals are added by the manufacturer to goodnight milk....it's not the same as adding a weetabix or rusk etc to milk but it does make it very thick. As already mentioned you should never add anything extra to baby's bottle. We tried Goodnight milk once and it wouldn't come out of the fast flow teats even, I don't know how some babies drink it.
