I dunno - just seems like an awful waste of perfectly good eggs to me.

A total waste of good eggs!! The best bit of course, is that by the time we hit menopause and can't get pregnant any more we have on average around 1000 eggs left over....which is still enough eggs to last us a fertile lifetime!!! What a slap in the face that is!!!

I was just thinking... what about women with long/irregular cycles like some of us?? we use even LESS eggs! What's the point of having so many leftover eggs? grrrrr

Aaagh!!! Good point!!! By the time I reach menopause, if i'm only ovulating every 2 months or so then I will have thousands of eggs left!!
