My Dd is 7 months old and is w good sleeper. She goes to be at 7pm but wakes around 5/5.30 for a bottle and will go back to sleep till 8.30am sometimes even longer. But is that a night fed? Can i drop it or is that too long for her? X

Wow I would just keep it up I'd be sooo happy if my DD slept anywhere near that long. I wouldn't count it as a night feed.

I wouldn't try to drop it, sounds like things are going well. It's definitely not unheard of for a 7 month old to need feeding after 10 hours.

If I had to wake up to do it, I considered it a night feed. If you're waking up yourself for the day at 5:30am, maybe you wouldn't consider it a night feed, but personally, yes I would. And no, you don't need to drop it. The fact she's going that long without a feed at only 7 months is amazing! She'll drop it on her own when she no longer needs it. At that age, my daughter was having 1-2 feeds a night still. She dropped them all on her own at 9 months. Now, that doesn't mean she STTN, and at nearly 3 years, she still wakes 1-2 times a night, which is pretty normal for all toddlers, but obviously it's not because she's hungry.

My wee girl is 9 weeks and is similar, she goes down about 8 then gets up at 1am for a feed, then sleeps through. Recently she has started not waking at 1am but doesn't go to sleep until 10pm and gets up again about 8am hitch is fab. Maybe try having her up an hour later at night and see if she can go to 6:30?

Thanks for the replys! Shes our first so glad to hear her sleeping that long is good. I had asked if it was a night feed because i had seen somewhere that once they start eating food that they dont need the night feed and sometimes just wake out of habit. But i guess she will just drop it herself dont think she could go 12+ hours without x
