Does this mean anything?

A friend of mine is ttc and sent me a pic of her opk she did this morning. She ovulated about 11 days ago and has got a faint second line on the opk this morning. Could it be showing pregnancy hormones or could it be nothing?

It could be either! It could be hcg showing, I had lines on an opk before my last bfp! Tell her to test!

After O, I would have faint lines on OPKs until AF came. Some women have LH in their bloodstream all month long. It takes a while for it to taper all the way off after a surge.

HCG will ALWAYS show positive on an HPT before on an OPK. When I got pregnant, I used the rest of my OPKs just for fun and they didn't become dark lines until WEEKS after my positive HPT.

An opk can show when you are pregnant but I have lines like that on my opks most days so it doesn't prove anything. I'd say it's a bit early to be showing on an OPK but if it is showing on an OPK it will show on a pregnancy test even better so she could test if it's niggling her.
