Do you think "Ella Rose" works as a nickname? (for either option)

I prefer the shorter name but they are both nice. Ella Rose works well for either.

I think Gabriella goes best with Rose and Ella with either. If you like Ella Rose use that for the name rather than the nickname. I don't think that nickname would work if you picked Rosalie for the middle name. Never heard someone shortening the first and middle names for a nickname.

My friend's daughter is named Emma Louise and she affectionately calls her "Emmie-Lou" so I guess I was thinking along those lines... of shortening both.

I love Gabriella Rose. I just worry that Rose is such a popular middle name. I wouldn't want ppl to think it's a boring, filler name. My great-grandmother was named Rose. So I love it!
