Does this sound like reflux

My LO is quite spilly since he has been on formula and he fusses at the bottle but when i take it away he cries because he wants more. He used to fuss at my breast constantly too. He is happy though so am thinking maybe he is a happy spiller. But am also wondering if i should try a stay down formula?

Hmmm.

Could try a comfort milk as those are thicker.

SMA Staydown works well but is very constipating.

Aptamil and C+G Anti Reflux milks (in larger boots) are thickened with Carob Bean which is much less likely to constipate.

Thanks unfortunately i live in NZ so none of those brands are available here but we do have one that is thickened with carob bean gum. I think because he is happy and not getting really upset i will just leave him on the formula he is on cause i don't really want to switch and then end up with him having constipation and dealing with blocked teats and having to buy all new teats.

I raised the head of his bed last night and that helped with him spilling when i put him back in his bed which was my main annoyance and he was getting it on his clothes, sheets and swaddle.

when dom started showing signs of reflux even the idea of putting the bottle in his mouth sent him into a crying fit, he'd refuse to drink, but would gasp for the bottle as i took it away as he was really hungry, so it does sound like it. He also would randomly choke whilst sleeping on bought up milk/acid which is another sign/spitting up too. in the UK doctors prescribe 'Infant Gaviscon' to bulk a feed out, ever since dom has been on it its been a dream,hes been fab, i dont know if its the same for you but give the docs a try and see what they can do hun, HTH's and hope LO feels better soon
