Does your baby suck primarily on nipple

Or does he suck on nipple and aerola too.

I have large outright nipples and he primarily sucks on nipple only.

Baby should be getting a large amount of areola too. Milk does not come from sucking the nipple but from milking the breast from the Areola too. If you run your tongue along the top of your mouth, past the grooved part, onto the hard palette and past that to the soft palette, THAT is where the nipple should be in babys mouth so there's lots of room for areola too!

Ok, he has become a slight slacker on getting the aerola...will make sure he gets it.
