Well i have panic disorder first of all. I mean in my heart i reallly want a baby but thinking of the pain and stuff scares the living heck outta me. Its not that im not willing to go through the pain for my child.. its just that whatever pain i think of always makes me think im gonna die or something....

and my worst fear of even getting pregnant is something going terrible wrong...!

Can any of you girls please help me out... :hissy::cry:

Didn't want to read and run. The only thing getting me through the pain thoughts are the thoughts of holding my baby in my arms. I'm sure you'll know what's best for you. I hope you feel better soon :) x

Hi Tink :hi:,
Just read your post and wanted to let you know that I am in exactly the same boat as you! I too have panic disorder and am TTC #1. I am split between the pain, discomfort and worry but also the thought of having my own child! I think the only thing that stops me freaking out is the thought that one day I will be able to hold my own baby in my arms instead of everybody else!
Stay strong!

You wouldn't be normal if you weren't worried. To me it just shows how much you want everything to be right. (((((hugs)))))). You will do what's right for you and everything will be ok

Hun you would do just fine, many women have done it and survived before you so you too would can do it!! From what I understand the pain is very manageable but it depends on your state of mind. You can prepare yourself for it throughout your 9 months and your body will prepare itself. It's truly worth it in the end.

Like you I was very very scared of the pain and still am to some degree but I got a doula and it has made a world of a difference. Maybe you could look into that as well?

since the dawn of man kind, women have been giving birth, so you definitely can too! Don't doubt yourself! And I agree with Mango, your body will adapt as best as possible and you can learn so much about certain techniques to help cope with labor pains and so on....Most things are mental! Believe that. I also think the joy of having a baby out weights most of the pain endured while having one ;)

I can't add anything the other posts haven't, just wanted to give you a :hugs:. It is a scary thing to have a baby and all kinds of worries run through your head (I'm not pg yet and I already have a lot of worries!). Are you on meds for your panic disorder? If not, that could be contributing to this. You will make the right decision for you, and you will be a wonderful mother.
