Hello all!

I'm new to this forum but I have been reading through the posts for a while now and thought I'd give my story and see if any of you have any sugestions.

I have PCOS and have not had a period since I stopped taking the pill last year, previously to this I had them like clock work.
So I was put on 1000mg of metformin a day a first but this did not make any difference at all.
I then was put up to 1500mg and when I had my hormones tested about 3 months ago they had stablised and were aparantly perfect but still no ovulation or period.

Me and my husband have always said that if it happens it happens hense I was only on the metformin, but this morning he told me that he wants to have a baby before he is 33 so that gives us a year TC and I also think I'm the right age now too (I'm 25 next year)

I have been reading about vit D stimulating ovulation and periods so I am really thinking about trying that. I am at slimming world to loose weight and I'm averaging 1.5 pounds a week. I am 13'10 atm.
Other than that the docs are ringing me back today or tomorrow morning to refer me to the fertillity clinc at the hospital to take further action.

We have not told any family about this decision as they are very in my face about wanting me TC and I really don't want to deal with the pressure of it.

We know someone who is having trouble as well but they are out and out obessed by it and I've always been afraid of turning like that as well.

anyway I am really open to any suggestions or your experiences on this matter.

Hi lynzee, I also have pcos and do not ovulate. I have only had two natural afs since stopping the pill in Dec 08! I do not have a weight issue and have tried pretty much everything to bring on a cycle!

PCOS and not ovulating is soo frustrating I know how you are feeling!

I've taken lots of different supplements and nothing has worked for me so far, I started Vit D last friday as I heard lots of positive things about it but so far I have not noticed any effects.

It sounds like you will be prescribed clomid, hope that works for you!
