My wife had a m/c (at 6w 4d) in September 2012 (After TTC for 7 months).
She never had any symptoms at all.
We started to try again Nov 2012, after 4 failing cycles, she became pregnant in the fifth (Mar 2013). The doctor put her on progesterone because of the first m/c
This time she had some symptoms (erect nipples, sore breasts, heartburn, fatigue, complete loss of appetite and very few times of nausea). But I was not sure weather those symptoms are because of successful pregnancy or because of the progesterone. (Except for erect nipples because those were like that since ovulation)
The first u/s was successful and we saw a heartbeat (didn't know how many bps).
Then again at exactly 9w1d, she woke up a different person. She was very energetic, she didn't have to nap in the middle of the day, she ate almost normally and I felt her getting better. Even her breasts and nipples got smaller. That really scared me. I never discuss that with her not to worry her.
I kept searching the internet for assurance and a lot of women say that's normal, but I am a pessimistic person because some other women say the disappearance of symptoms is not a good sign. May be lack of symptoms from the beginning is OK, but having then losing them is not.
I was really scared she felt good!!
The only piece of information that lessened my worries, was that HCG keeps rising till 9-10 weeks then starts to decline, that's why there is a general improvement in the mother's health at this time. I read that in a medical web site not only at the forums
After that she had some waves of nausea (every couple of days) and she started to feel some fatigue, but never never like before 9 weeks. I started to worry again but kept reminding myself of the HCG info. I even kept opening this web site to read it again![Smile :) :)](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
But today, at 11w 5d we had the second ultra sound and the fetus was moving normally. Now at last, I'll feel happy for my wife when she feels good.
I'm sorry for the long post but a couple of weeks ago I would have been happy to read a post like that.
