every year our LO's open a gift of nanna auntie friend cousin old lady down the road and we sit there head in hands thinking why me!!! although our LO will love it we on the other hand cant wait for the dog to chew it up....

playdough (even though i have brought him some m+d playdough for his bday )

little lego, my mum has boxs of it as she is sad enough to sit there until 2/3 am building a castle out of it (in fact if i showed you her divorce papers from her 2nd marriage one of the reasons stated would be 'does not come to bed as stays up all night playing with the childrens toys') i however have a life and don't appreciate standing on that one piece that gets away....

cars... he has 100's he does not need anymore

Oh my GOD, this. I swear people go out of their way to find the only toy around with the most annoying tune and then make sure it has no off button. Why why WHY have no off button? If you rattle Eden's toy box it makes a dozen different noises because there are so many toys with no off button. When I shop, it's the first thing I look for!

Oh, and I may be on my own with this one, but cuddly toys. Yes, they're cute for five seconds, but then what? Just something else you have to try and store! I don't mind a few special one offs, but just buying them for the sake of them looking cute is very annoying. For the past 2 years my son has been bought different toy drills..
they are the most annoying toys EVER!
He goes round drilling everyone and everything and they are incredibly noisy..
I for one seriously HOPE he doesn't get another this year

They don't do anything, they are annoying and they just take up more space that I don't have

hmmm. annoying toys that SHOUT or play really off key music super loud - bonus hate points if they are ones you can try in store! so that means the buyer heard that and just wants to piss me off

Haha this made me giggle. Lol. I sent oh into his mums attick yesterday to go get me his lego as LO wont let me play with his duplo. Lol.

Back to the point.... I hate stuffed toys. The next person to buy him one is going to.be banished from our house. He has a giant 4ft monkey and dog plus like 100+ others that vary in size. Im going to vacume bag them up and shove them in the attick. They just gather dust and waste space. And they do nothing. Although LO is enjoying making them talk and make animal sounds.

And big things. Our friends, a couple, wanted to buy Dillan a table with chairs. WTF?! This guy is also our landlord so knows exactly how big the house is. Besides he already has a table and chairs.
Sorry went into a rant there.
So yea stuffed toys and big bits the buyer wants to buy despite lo not.being old enough, having space, etc.

Cuddly toys definitely! Have got at least 30 sitting on top of her wardrobe in the hope that she may get interested one day.
I've asked the grandparents to buy some megablocks for Christmas, with the intention of leaving them round their house! mwah ha ha ha (evil laugh!)

I wouldn't say I'm exactly house proud but by god it drives me mad just watching them make a mess lol... Yes, its fun for them but come on... I actually feel really guilty about it and DP always says, just let them get it out - its me that has to clean it all up and do the washing, nobody else!!! lol

I must be an odd duck then I love play doh! Half of Colin's Christmas gifts are play doh or moon dough this year! Also I love lego/duplo.

However I'm in total agreement of the cuddly toys! Colin has way to many and only cares about 3 of them. His Bun bun, bear and Dorothy the Dinosaur ones sleep with him every night but he doesn't touch any of the other ones at all.

I love Lego, Dylan has loads of it.


Moon dough and play dough are a big no no,
Last time my kids played with moon dough I was cleaning it up for days later !! Lol

Lol my two looooove their cuddly toys although probably more so because most of them are character ones, my boys fave animal is bears, he has an enormous bear on his bed which he has slept with since he was one...he is now four...mine love their cuddlies lol!

Anything without an off button gets my vote lol

Theres nothing I really hate but I cant stand instruments that you blow. Or microphones etc.. But if he likes them I still let him have them
