As some of you may know I went in for induction on the 25th of September at 7pm. 12 days after my due datr which was the 13th. I had a pessary given and then the same on the wednesday morning and another wednesday night. I had started getting pains on wednesday at 5am which were constant all the way through & extremely painful 
Thursday morning my waters broke on their own & then at 2pm that day they started me on a drip, at this point I had a epidural as I was too tired to carry on naturally.
The epidural was amazing and I even managed to sleep between contractions which were coming pretty fast and after 2 days of not sleeping it felt so good! I then went from being 2cm dialated at 2pm when I had the drip to 8cm by 6pm.
At around 8pm I was due a top up on my epidural but I asked the nurse to check me as I knew I was ready, she told me I wouldnt be ready and she thought it would be early hours of the morning but she would check me anyway.
She went to check & told me babys head was right there & I could push!! I was shocked as she seemed so certain it would be hours yet. My OH came back at this point as he had been out to get something to eat so was luck that br came back at this point. I felt babys head & then started to push, & after just 7 minutes of pushing Dontae Lee was born. I had tore in 4 places & had to have stitches. Dontae had breathing problems so baby doctors & midwives came rushing in which was very scary they wouldnt tell us if he was ok or what was happrning but then after what seemed like forever they said he was ok and his breathinh was now normal but would have to go to special care, cant even remember the reasons they gave as I was just so thankful he was Okish! When they brought him back they explained it was a suspected infection and they would keep us in for 5 days whilst they gave him antibiotics through a IV He quiclkly got better and when he was 5 days old we were finally aloud homr & my little man was all better.
He is now 1 week & 4 days old & weighs 8lb11ozs! Little chunk!
At birth he weighed 8lb4ozs & was 57cm long.
Cant believe hes finally here & im just so in lovr with him. I didnt think I could lovr him anymore than I already did but when I saw my son for the first time the feeling of love is overwhelming!
