Hi ladies. Hope everyone is doing well. I went to Dr 3.13.14 to have my thyroid levels checked. I have hypothyroidism and I am happy to say it was perfect, 2.40. =) But I was still concerned with not having a period in over a year, and that one was from Provera. I have not had a period on my own in 1-2 years at least. Did have weird spotting in DEC 2013 and again last month. He thinks I might have PCOS because of my secondary amenorrhoea, but said some times it is hard to pin point. He is just a general Dr and told me to find a gynecologist, which I am researching some in my area now. He has started me on spironolactone and told me to take for a month. If I don't see any results, he gave me metformin to begin taking next month. I have researched the spironolactone a bit and it seems to be for excess hair growth, which I don't have, or high blood pressure, which I don't have either. But I am going to take it and SSE what happens. I start it tomorrow. I guess my point is, has anyone ever been on these meds while TTC? Or prior to TTC, and have helped with regulating cycles and ovulation, I do not ovulate since I have no cycle? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much and good luck to all you out there TTC!!!!!
